The performances of Marcus Ostermiller, lauded as a “contemporary music champion,” have been described as “virtuosic,” “compelling” (Broadway World), and "sparkling" (Opera News). Notable public appearances include the Newman Center for Performing Arts (Denver), the Great Hall at Cooper Union (New York), the Nels-Atkins Museum (Kansas City), the United States Chamber of Commerce (Washington, D.C.), Spectrum (New York), Black Box Theatre (New York), the United States Embassy (Vienna), and Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall (New York). Ostermiller is featured on Chicago-based composer Lawrence Axelrod’s 2016 record, The Heart Revived (Innova Recordings).

Marcus Ostermiller performs Robert Savage's "AIDS Ward Scherzo," composed in 1992 while the composer was a patient in the AIDS ward at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan.
